Work Permit

Foreigners must have a work permit in order to work legally in Turkey. Work permit is given by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security to foreigners who meet the conditions specified in the legislation.

Companies which will hire foreign national employee can apply for work permit with the documents listed below, provided that prospective employee holds a residence permit valid for at least 6 months in the case they reside in Turkey.


  • The employment contract signed between the employer and the foreign worker
  • Copy of Passport
  • Graduation Certificate approved by the Official Authorities and translated into Turkish (Foreigners who will work within the scope of vocational services or in the professions deemed necessary by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs are required to submit a diploma.)
  • Trade Registry Gazette showing the current capital and status of the company to work with
  • Approved balance sheet and profit/loss statement for the last year
  • COVID-19 Commitment
  • In addition, foreigners have to submit the documents determined by the ministry according to the sector they work in online during the application.
